CAMPGROUND RULES

GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES AND CAMP RULES
We ask for your co-operation so that your stay and the stay of other guests will be enjoyable. If any of these rules are breached you may be required to leave the Campground without refund.
ARRIVAL
12pm for camp sites, 2pm for cabin accommodation
DEPARTURE
By 10am for camping and accommodation or further charges may apply.
CANCELLATIONS OR EARLY DEPARTURES
We do not refund for early departure due to weather or if you change your mind. Bookings are not transferrable to another person or date.
POWERED SITES
Campervans/caravans must have a current Electrical Warrant of Fitness and power leads must be a minimum of 10 meters. Tents plugging into power can only use an approved and tested ‘camping style’ power cord (with 3 long round pins), at least 10m long, with a safety RCD. Please make sure you have your WoF documentation and your tested, tagged power cord available for us to check if asked. Power cords must stay within the boundaries of your site. You cannot connect vans or tents on multiple sites to one power source. Management reserves the right to unplug any connection that does not comply with regulations. Generators are not permitted at any time.
CAMPERVANS/CARAVANS
Must provide own waste container. Chemical toilets must be emptied in the dump station provided.
TENTS
Tents must not be joined together. There must be 1.5m between any 2 tents.
FIRES
A fire could be catastrophic. Please do not light any braziers or open fires of any kind. Gas bbqs and gas/charcoal cookers can be used. Dispose of cigarette butts carefully.
PARKING
No parking of cars, boats or trailers outside of your site boundaries. This includes on the roadside, neighbouring sites and ALL green spaces. Parking is allocated for all cabin accommodation. Limited storage is available over Peak Season for a nominal fee, otherwise parking is outside of the Campgrounds.
SPEED
Vehicles to travel at walking pace only at all times. Please be mindful of children.
BEHAVIOUR
Reasonable behaviour is expected at all times – loud swearing, excessive drinking, and loud parties will not be tolerated. Consideration must be shown at all times to other guests. Management reserves the right to cancel a tenancy at any time without refund.
ALCOHOL
May be consumed on your site or within your cabin ONLY.
QUIET TIME
Quiet time is expected and appreciated between 10:30pm and 7am. Please be thoughtful of fellow guests at all times.
CLEANING/DAMAGE
Please notify reception of any breakages or damage to campground property. Management reserves the right to recover cost of damage or where extra cleaning is required. Facilities and barbeques must be left clean and tidy after use. Fish to be cleaned in the dedicated fish cleaning area only.
Please respect our facilities and keep them clean and tidy. If there are any cleaning or maintenance issues please let management know as soon as possible.
SMOKING
Smoking is not permitted inside any Campground buildings or accommodation.
CHILDREN
Parents will be held responsible for their children at all times. Please supervise your children in and around the campground and while they are using facilities.
BIKES
Bike helmets are to be worn at all times by adults and children. No bikes are to be ridden through or outside the barrier arm located by reception. Please walk your bike on the path provided to the reception.
VISITORS
All visitors please register at Reception to pay your day visitor fees, before accessing the Camp grounds. Management reserves the right to refuse entry when the camp is full. Visitors’ vehicles are not permitted in camp during peak season and can be parked in the overflow area. Please depart by 10pm. Registered guests are responsible for their visitors at all times.
NO DOGS & PETS
Unless it is a service dog (proof required), then they are not permitted to camp with you.
RUBBISH
Keep NZ beautiful – please use recycling and rubbish bins around the camp. We appreciate your help with sorting bottles, paper, cans etc. from your daily rubbish and placing everything in the appropriate bins. Rubbish bags are available at reception. Please take all your rubbish to the bins on the day of your departure.
RESPONSIBILITY
All persons enter the campground at their own risk and are totally responsible for their own property, self and guests. In the event of an emergency requiring evacuation of the camp, management will provide direction and the safest method, please make your way down to the office for instructions.
Parents/guardians please supervise your children at all times. Use pedestrian access when walking or biking over the bridge, and never walk under the barrier arm at the entrance. If you identify a hazard please inform management as soon as possible.

FOR MEDICAL OR FIRE EMERGENCIES PLEASE CALL 111 AND NOTIFY THE MANAGERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. WE ARE A REMOTE CAMPING GROUND SO PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND AND COME PREPARED.
