FAQ'S

What time is your office and store open?
Our hours are seasonal and are subject to change.  Generally speaking we are open all day from 8am - 6pm during the peak periods (20 December - 10 February, Labour Weekend, Easter) and in our off-peak periods our hours can be limited to 8.30am - 10.30am and 3pm-5pm.

What time can I check in?
You can check in from 2pm for cabin accommodation and from 12pm for camping.

What time can I check out?
Check out is by 10am for both accommodation and camping.

How can I pay for my reservation?
We accept credit card, cash and internet banking (bank deposits must be cleared before check-in).

When do I pay?
Full payment is required at the time of booking. See Terms and Conditions for Peak Season bookings.

Do guests have to provide a covid19 vaccination passport?
The accommodation sector has not been mandated and a COVID19 vaccination passport is not a requirement to camp here.  We will be operating at all levels (green, amber and red) under the new COVID19 response legislation and COVID19 health and safety guidelines specific for holiday parks.

Do you accept dogs and or pets?
No, sorry, we have a strict “No animal” policy.

Do you have a playground?
No, but the forest, beach and estuary are on the Campground borders.

How far away is Whangamata?
Whangamata is a 20 minute drive away (15km south).

Can I walk to the beach?
Yes, a 5 minute walk through the forest.

Do you have internet facilities?
No internet available, reception for cell phones is also limited. Enjoy nature at its best!

Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, we have washing machines and dryers paid per load.

Do you have a shop on site?
Yes we have an on-site general store with an Allpress coffee machine and the basics - milk, bread, cold drinks, ice creams, chips, etc.

Can we drink the tap water in the camp?
We have two taps in camp that provide safe drinking-quality water.  One is located outside the upper-campground kitchen and the other is located on the lower campground, outside the general store.  Both are taps are tested regularly and met the NZ drinking water standards. We strongly recommend that you refrain from drinking any other tap water in camp.
