POWERED & NON-POWERED CAMPSITES
We are a small, private campground with spacious powered or non-powered sites, and basic cabins available. Onukuhou Stream runs through the campground and the property borders the forest leading to Opoutere beach. We are in an isolated location, so keep this in mind when packing for your holiday!
The facilities are very basic, but clean and well maintained.
There is no charge for cold showers, hot showers are $1 coin for 5 minutes. Bathrooms have liquid hand soap, toilet paper and flush toilets.
The washing machine and drier take 2x $2 NZD coins ($4 total per cycle). Laundry powder and coins are available from reception.
If you are booking one of our Cabins or the Chalet please remember we only provide the bottom sheets, pillows, pillowcases, a kitchen tea towel and hand towel. You will need to bring all your own top linen / bedding & towels (beach and shower).
POWERED SITES
All our powered sites are located in the UPPER CAMP. Choose to be secluded under a Pohutukawa tree, looking out towards the local summit, alongside the forest backdrop or close to the amenities. All sites have easy access to our communal hub with a basic kitchen, flushing toilets, coin operated showers, laundry, and BBQ's.
We will endeavour to accommodate specific site requests - Please refer to the Campground Map to make your pick.
Our powered sites are suitable for campervans and caravans or tents with an approved power cord. Make sure your campervan or caravan has a current Electrical Warrant of Fitness, and your power cord has been recently checked and tagged by an electrician. Please note that domestic power cords will not connect to our power boxes, you must have an approved 'camping-style' power cord with three long round pins and a safety RCD
Displayed rates are for the 2024-2025 season. These are reviewed annually and subject to change. The rate will be confirmed at the time of booking.
OFF-PEAK RATES:
Base Rate (1-2 pax) - $48 per night
Extra Adult (from 16yrs) - $24 per night
Extra Child (2 - 15yrs) - $12 per night
Infants (under 2's) - FREE
PEAK PERIODS:
Base Rate (1-2 pax) - $58 per night
Extra Adult (from 16yrs) - $29 per night
Extra Child (1 - 15yrs) - $14 per night
Infants (under 1's) - FREE
NON POWERED SITES
We have plenty of non powered sites available throughout the campground. Choose to be under a tree, alongside the Onukuhou stream, looking up towards the forest backdrop, close to the amenities or if you a large group you may prefer to be exclusively in the bridge or front paddock areas. All sites have easy access to our communal hub with a basic kitchen, flushing toilets, coin operated showers, laundry, and BBQ's.
